FAQ

IS MFS FOR ME?

MFS is a unqiue offering within the fitness industry. We offer professionally qualified coaching at an affordable price point no matter your goals or level of fitness.

Our coaches use their background to refine the type of coaching that is typically only available to collegiate and competitive athletes, adapting and applying those techniques and methodologies for their members.

Whether you are working toward a specific goal or are just not realizing the type of results you'd like from your current routine then MFS can help. We will work with you to review your current movement, analyze your nutrition and put a program together that will work for you, your family and your lifestyle.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

First we’ll do a Functional Movement Screening (FMS) as a baseline for your movement quality to identify areas of need and / or of imbalance, followed up with a body composition evlaution and nutrition analysis.

With that information gathered we’ll talk about your goals and specific training plans, developing a fitness routine and nutrition plan, with key performance indicators, providing you with milestones as you progress and evolve.

WHAT GOES INTO THE COST OF MEMBERSHIP?

A trainer every visit. You no doubt have experienced other fitness centers and the differentiator at MFS is that you will never work out alone. We're there with you every step of the way.  Coaching you through an indiviualized training plan that is speciifc to your needs and goals with added nutrition and mobility analysis that will complement your development.

In addition you will have access to all of our coaches and programs built into the cost of your membership. Specifically, Group Cross Training (GXT), Kickboxing Cross Training (KXT), and specialty or seasonal programs like our 'Shape Up For Summer' BootCamp, and MFS Fitness Events held throughout the year.

HOW DOES THE MEMBERSHIP WORK? CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE BILLING PROCESS? WHAT IF I DECIDE TO CANCEL?

At MFS our memberships run on a month-to-month basis. We process payments via EFT which would be automatically renewed on the date you join. You can stop your membership anytime you choose as long as you make us aware prior to your renewal date (an email or phonecall would be sufficient notice). There is no commitment, no cancellation fee. You can start and stop anytime so feel free to stop in and see what programs may work for you, your schedule or your family.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING?

Yes! It is first come first serve. We do share a parking lot @ 89 Pearl St., Braintree, MA with a few other businesses in the area. We can be a little hard to find initially so after turning into the location pull halfway down, with the units on your left, and you will see our logo on the door. Please come on by anytime we're in session we'd love to show you around.

I lOVE THE IDEA OF HAVING A COACH, WHAT IS THE COACH TO STUDENT RATIO? TELL ME ABOUT CLASS SIZE?

Every class is taught by one of our highly qualified coaches. GXT classes are shared between Derek and Greg while Jinny heads all KXT sessions. In addition Greg and Jinny will run all of our seasonal BootCamp classes.

Private training can be set up with any coach you feel meets your needs or has the background that will make the biggest impact specific to your goals / needs.

Our smaller group training sessions can have anywhere from 1-8 people and usually have only one coach. Our busier sessions can have 10-20 members and depending on the type of class, needs of the members, and schedule there may be 1-2 coaches in attendence. We want to make sure all of our members, even in a group setting, get the personalized approach that makes the difference in your training.

CAN YOU WALK ME THROUGH A TYPICAL GROUP TRAINING SESSION?s

Each workout is scheduled for a 1 hour timeslot. Each class begins with a dynamic warm up that is designed to get your heart pumping with elements of strength, flexibility and mobility.

Post warm up there is a brief cool down period where your coach will break down the workout and explain the elements that we will be working on during that specific class focusing on making adjustments for each member's personal needs, goals or areas of focus.

The main workout includes elements of strength, cardio, flexibility and specific movements to improve and challenge our memebers on an ever changing and evolving basis.

Lastly, as a cool down we like to take the last few minutes of class and focus on improving core strength and flexibility overall.

WHEN CAN I COME IN FOR A CONSULTATION? I'D LIKE TO SEE THE GYM / MEET THE COACHES?

Great question, please do not hesitate to reach out via email, phone or just a drop in!

It's our pleasure to give you a tour of the gym anytime we can, walk you through the workout of the day or just sit and chat about where you are and where you want to be and how we can help.
